Support General Theatre Studies
Way more than "summer camp..."
Now in its seventh year, General Theatre Studies provides 14- to 19-year old students the unique opportunity to explore all assets of theater with some of Chicago's finest theater professionals. With a focus on personal storytelling and oral history, the Goodman offers 80 participants each summer the opportunity to write, direct, design and perform their own plays.
In addition to improving their writing and literacy skills, the program helps develop leadership and collaboration as they work with fellow students to create their production. It's an incredible opportunity for any young person to find their voice at one of America's premiere theaters.
The program culminates with a public performance on the Goodman's Owen Theatre stage in July. Those who support General Theatre Studies will receive an invitation to the program's final performances on July 29 and 30.
We ask that you give as generously as you can. Your contribution will empower a new generation of theater artists to find their voice and help sustain theater's place as a forum for personal development and self-expression.
