Season 2016/2017

We are currently accepting applications for Summer 2017 internships in all areas! Internship dates are as follows:

  • Summer 2017 (all administrative and design areas): Application Deadline February 10, 2017; session dates May 19, 2017 - August 18, 2017

Missed the spring deadline? We are currently still accepting Spring Marketing, Publicty and Development Internship applications!

  • To apply for the Spring Marketing, Publicity or Development Internship please use this application process: For the “First choice internship concentration” and “Second choice internship concentration” choose two of these departments. If you have only one selection, please put the same concentration in both slots. For “Preferred Internship Terms (Check one or more)”, please choose spring. Session Dates: January 3 – May 26, 2017,

While most design internships (sound, costumes and props) operate within the normal sessions, some engagements may vary based on the design shops' needs. Stage Management internships operate on Goodman's production schedule, and do not follow traditional spring, summer or fall sessions. Please toggle to the stage management application for more information regarding their schedule.

Please be sure to list your dates of availability and preferred internship terms so your application can be considered for the appropriate session.

How to Apply

Complete the following application, and be sure to include a 500-word personal statement summarizing your career goals and explaining why you want to work at the Goodman and upload an electronic copy of your professional resume. Files should be titled with the applicants last name and first name, followed by resume (ie: Smith, John - Resume).

Upon completing this application, emails will be generated requesting two letters of recommendation (more than two will not be read), which speak to your experience and ability to excel in a demanding and highly collaborative work environment, to the people you specify in the form below. If for some reason you fear your LOR writer has not received this email, please direct them to our letter of recommendation upload form. Letters of recommendation should be submitted on or before the application deadline by the letter of recommendation writer; applications lacking accompanying letters of recommendation by the deadline date are incomplete.
