Rachel York

Rachel York most recently appeared at the Goodman in Turn of the Century during the 2008/2009 Season. She is best known for her critically acclaimed Broadway performances in City of Angels, Les Misérables, Victor/Victoria (Drama Desk Award) with Dame Julie Andrews, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Sly Fox with Richard Dreyfuss and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels co-starring Jonathan Pryce. She starred in London’s West End production of Kiss Me, Kate (filmed for PBS) as well as the national tours of Camelot (Carbonell Award) and Kiss Me, Kate (Helen Hayes Award nomination). Other theater credits include Putting it Together (Drama Desk Award nomination) also with Julie Andrews; Dessa Rose at the Lincoln Center Theater (Drama Desk Award nomination); The Sound of Music at the Hollywood Bowl; Anything Goes (Ovation Award nomination); My One and Only; The Odd Couple with Jason Alexander and Martin Short; Ragtime; Evita and Summer of ’42. Film credits include One Fine Day, Happy Feet and Billy Bathgate, among others. Television credits include Hannah Montana, Frasier, Reba, Numb3rs, Spin City, Diagnosis Murder, Au Pair II, Second Honeymoon and Lucille Ball in the CBS movie, Lucy. She is the voice of Bitty in Higglytown Heroes. Ms. York’s solo album is titled Let’s Fall in Love.
