Production Jobs

Goodman Theatre is currently seeking to fill the following positions to work as part of the Production Team:


Albert Floor Manager

Reports to: Stage Management

Dates Required: August 2017 - August 2018

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for running and maintaining the backstage area
  • Floor Manager is considered a member of the Stage Management team assigned to each production
  • Attend the final week of rehearsal and all technical rehearsals to learn the show
  • Arrive no less than one and one-half hours prior to curtain for each performance
  • Assist in maintaining communication between stage managers and the actors
  • Assist in tracking props, costume changes and scenic shifts
  • Attend, assist in setting up and participate in all understudy rehearsals
  • Additional duties as required by the show

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of backstage
  • College education or equivalent professional stage management background
  • Work as a team member, maintaining a positive attitude in times of stress

This position is a Non-Equity seasonal position with a competitive hourly rate.

Owen Floor Manager
