Goodman Theatre is centrally located in Chicago's Loop at 170 North Dearborn Street, in close proximity to I-55, I-90/94, I-290 and Lake Shore Drive, as well as all major CTA rail lines and many bus routes.
Parking
Goodman patrons receive a discounted rate of $19* at the Government Center Self Park located directly adjacent to Goodman Theatre at the southeast corner of Clark and Lake streets.
Important Information
- Discounted parking is available after 5pm Monday through Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday and after 12noon for Thursday matinee performances.
- You can receive a discounted coupon at the Goodman Theatre Gift Shop or Box Office. Use this coupon to receive the discounted rate when you pay for parking.
- If you have any questions or concerns regarding parking at the Government Center Self Park, call 312.750.0991.
*Rate is subject to change pending City of Chicago parking taxes.
How To Use Your "Prepaid" Ticket
- Enter the Government Center Self Park, take the parking ticket from the automated vendor and park.
- DO NOT PREPAY before the show. Keep your ticket with you as you will need it to exit the parking facility.
- When you exit the garage (in the exit lane), first insert the ticket you received when you entered the garage, and then insert the prepaid ticket sent to you by the Government Center Self Park.
How Use Parking
- Enter the Government Center Self Park; take the parking ticket from the automated vendor and park. Take the ticket with you!
- Get a discounted ticket coupon at the Goodman Theatre Gift Shop or Box Office in our lobby.
- BEFORE YOU RETURN TO YOUR CAR, proceed to the automated self-pay machine and insert the parking ticket you received when you entered the garage, followed by the discounted ticket coupon.
- Pay discounted parking fee by cash or credit card. You will receive a validated ticket. Use the validated ticket when exiting the garage.

Driving to the Goodman
From Lake Shore Drive (41)
Exit Wacker Drive to Clark Street. Turn left on Clark Street. The Government Center Self Park entrance is located on the left (east) side of Clark Street immediately past Lake Street. You can also turn left (east) on Lake Street and the Government Center Self Park entrance will be on the right (south) side of Lake Street before Dearborn Street.
From the South-- 55 (Stevenson) or 90/94 (Dan Ryan):
Exit Lake Street. The entrance to the Government Center Self Park is located on the right (south) side of Lake Street, after crossing Clark Street and before Dearborn Street.
From the North-- 90/94 (Kennedy/Edens):
Exit Ohio Street east to Clark Street. Turn right (south) on Clark and go past Lake Street. The Government Center Self Park entrance will be on the left (east) side of Clark Street immediately past Lake Street. You can also turn left (east) on Lake Street and the Government Center Self Park entrance will be on the right (south) side of Lake Street before Dearborn Street.
From the West-- 290 (Eisenhower):
Take 290 (Eisenhower) east (290 becomes Congress Parkway). Continue on Congress to State Street. Turn left (north) on State Street to Wacker Drive. Turn left (west) on Wacker Drive. Take Wacker to Clark Street and turn left (south) onto Clark. The Government Center Self Park entrance will be on the left (east) side of Clark Street immediately past Lake Street.
