GOODMAN THEATRE HOLDS A COSTUME SALE ON OCTOBER 20
(Chicago, IL – October 10, 2007) Take home a piece of Goodman history—and help the theater clear its shop for the coming season—at the Costume Sale on Saturday October 20, from 9 am - 2 pm in the Goodman lobby. This is a one-day sale (no costume preview available prior) open to the public; admission is free. All items are cash and carry.
Costumes for sale include pieces from Mary Zimmerman’s The Odyssey, Galileo Galilei and Mirror of the Invisible World, as well as Stephen Sondheim’s Bounce, among many other productions. Special pieces include the dinosaur and woolly mammoth costumes from The Skin of our Teeth; hair headdresses from the follies scene of The Dreams of Sarah Breedlove; and over-sized heads from The Light in the Piazza which never appeared on stage—these intricate pieces were created for a dream sequence that was subsequently cut from the production.
Photos of some pieces are available for download from the Press Room on Goodman Theatre’s website. Click here for details.
