Girls and boys aged 5 to 17 of all ethnic backgrounds are invited to audition for a variety of roles-including the coveted part of Tiny Tim-in Goodman Theatre's 30th annual production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. This year's production will be directed once again by William Brown, who portrayed the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge before he took over as the show's 6th director in its 30 year history.
Young performers are asked to prepare: a one minute or less poem or monologue, which should be memorized; one verse of a song, preferably a traditional holiday song or Christmas carol, sung a cappella (no piano or musical accompaniment will be provided); and a photo and resume including age, height, weight, address and contact information that lists previous theatrical and related experience/training. Children wishing to audition should come to the lobby of Goodman Theatre to register and receive specific audition times. Registrations ends at 12 noon and auditions end promptly at 12:30pm. Please do not call the Goodman for audition appointments.
