FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GOODMAN THEATRE ANNOUNCES A CHANGE TO ITS 2007/2008 SCHEDULE

***TONY AWARD-WINNING MUSICAL AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' REPLACES THE BOYS ARE COMING HOME ON THE ALBERT STAGE, ONE MORE PLAY STILL TO BE ANNOUNCED***

(Chicago, IL - February 11, 2008) Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls announced today that the world premiere musical The Boys are Coming Home, music and lyrics by Leslie Arden, book by Rebecca Gilman, directed by Falls, will be removed from the 2007/2008 season due to irreconcilable artistic points of view among the key collaborators. Falls also announced that Goodman Theatre Resident Director Chuck Smith's production of the Tony Award-winning musical revue, Ain't Misbehavin'-which was originally slated for April/May production in the Owen Theatre-moves into the Albert Theatre and assumes the dates of The Boys are Coming Home, beginning previews on June 21 with a June 30 opening night, and running through late July. The season shift creates one open slot in the Goodman's 2007/2008 Owen season, to be announced in the coming weeks. All dates, play and artists are subject to change.

The Tony and Emmy Award-winning musical revue Ain't Misbehavin' "whistles, hoots, throws off sparks, and moves at about 180 miles an hour" (The New York Times). Based on an idea by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby Jr., with music by Thomas "Fats" Waller, Ain't Misbehavin' is a tribute to the musicians of the Harlem Renaissance and a celebration of the sounds of the 1920s and '30s Cotton Club. A cast of five with a live band delivers nearly 30 famous, high-energy tunes-most written by Waller-including "Ain't Misbehavin'," "Honeysuckle Rose," "Your Feet's Too Big" and "The Joint is Jumpin'," among many others.
