GOODMAN THEATRE PRESENTS THE 2008 FAME FANTASY FOOD ADVENTURE AUCTION ON JANUARY 28

***Auctioneer Leslie Hindman facilitates bidding on items, including dinner with Tony Award winner Tommy Tune and a trip to Paris' Valentino Fashion Show***

(Chicago, IL - January 14, 2008) Goodman Theatre Women's Board proudly announces the return of Fame Fantasy Food Adventure Auction on January 28, 2008, held at The Casino beginning at 5:30pm. Goodman Trustee and prominent Chicago Auctioneer Leslie Hindman facilitates the bidding on prizes such as exotic vacations, luxurious gifts and exclusive opportunities. Shawn M. Donnelley is Chairman of the Goodman Theatre Board of Trustees and Alice Sabl is Women's Board President. Auction Co-chairs are Susan J. Wislow and Margaret M. Janus. Honorary Auction Co-Chairs are Joy Dreimann, Shelly Radue Ibach and Linda Robin. American Airlines is the event sponsor. Witnell & Co., and Macy's are the Supporting Sponsors. Tickets to the event are $75 and may be purchased by calling 312.443.3811 ext. 586 before January 18.

This year's live auction features lavish packages including trips to Buenos Aires, Tokyo, London and Florence as well as dinner with nine-time Tony Award winner, Tommy Tune. A trip to Paris for the Valentino Fashion Show and in-home dinner for eight prepared by Macy's Executive Chef Tim Scott- with desert by Food Network star Gale Gand- are also among the exclusive live auction prizes.

Silent Auction items include a designer leather sofa and loveseat from Italian designer Natuzzi, a two night stay for two in a deluxe casita guestroom courtesy of the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, Arizona at Troon North - and the opportunity to perform in a walk-on role in Goodman's annual production of A Christmas Carol.

Leslie S. Hindman founded Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago in 1982. Her company was the largest auction house in the Midwest and the 5th largest in the country before being acquired by Sotheby's in 1997. For eight years, Hindman hosted two television shows on the Home & Garden Television Network (HGTV), At the Auction with Leslie Hindman and The Appraisal Fair. In May of 2003, she launched Antiques Chicago with partner Sandra Hindman. In addition to her work with Goodman Theatre's board of directors, she serves on the Chicago Public Library Foundation, Children's Memorial Hospital Foundation, The Antiquarian Society of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Arts Club of Chicago and the Joffrey Ballet Women's Board.

Since its inception in 1978, Goodman Theatre's Women's Board has been a major force in raising funds for the theater through special events and projects. Members serve on committees for the annual Goodman Theatre Gala, the Goodman Auction, the Women's Board Annual Appeal and the Community Arts and Education Committee. The Board also provides support for Capital and Endowment initiatives, both personally and through solicitations. Monies raised support all aspects of the theater-including the sponsorship of one production per season.
