In the Albert Theatre, you'll delight in the music-fueled Pullman Porter Blues; the steamy Broadway sensation Venus in Fur; Mary Zimmerman’s mesmerizing take on the Chinese fable The White Snake; Rebecca Gilman’s fearless portrait of love and betrayal, Luna Gale; and an epic and enchanting remount of the beloved musical Brigadoon. In the Owen Theatre, you'll experience three richly textured new works—Noah Haidle’s Smokefall, Seth Bockley’s Ask Aunt Susan and Tracey Scott Wilson’s Buzzer. The Albert Theater features Tennessee Williams’ dazzling Sweet Bird of Youth; the riveting Broadway hit Other Desert Cities; Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage’s By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, Robert Falls' Measure for Measure and the world premiere musical The Jungle Book. The Owen Theatre features inspiring new work: Dael Orlandersmith’s ferocious Black n Blue Boys/Broken Men; Christopher Shinn’s explosive Teddy Ferrara; and Quiara Alegría Hudes’ ode to hope and possibility in The Happiest Song Plays Last.

 

Latino Theatre Festival

Latino Theatre FestThe Latino Theatre Festival is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever before! This year’s line-up features some of the best local and international Latino artists working in theater today, with three main productions anchoring the celebration. You’ll experience the riveting return of Cuba’s Teatro Buendía, a lyrical world premiere from Pulitzer Prize–winner Quiara Alegría Hudes and the exciting remount of local sensation Albany Park Theater Project’s Home/Land. Plus, the Goodman will host a variety of engaging, informative and interactive programs and events throughout Chicago during the Festival.
