DRAMATIC INTEGRATION:
Using Theatre to Teach Everything

A free teacher intensive at Goodman Theatre February 5 - 7, 2010
Registration deadline: Friday, Jan. 29, 2010

Join teachers from across the Chicagoland area and across disciplines to learn how to use the arts to teach everything from science to English to history to the arts themselves. Using our Broadway-bound double bill of Hughie and Krapp's Last Tape (starring Brian Dennehy!) as a springboard, this FREE Lane-Change seminar will guide you through artistic processes of discovery and exploration and show you how to integrate these approaches into learning across the curriculum. Participants will be introduced not only to the frameworks and tools of the theater but will develop discipline-specific lesson plans they can use in their own classrooms. Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs) and Lane-Change Credit will be offered to all participants.

SEMINAR DATES:
  • Friday, February 5, 5 - 10pm
  • Saturday, February 6, 9am - 4pm
  • Sunday, February 7, 9am - 1pm

Exact start and end times subject to change. All teachers in the Chicagoland area are invited to participate. There are a limited number of slots; registration will be on a first-come first-served basis. In order to register, you must be available for ALL THREE seminar days.
