Monté Russell

Monté Russell most recently appeared at the Goodman in King Hedley II during the 2000/2001 Season. He has appeared in a number of August Wilson plays, including Fences, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, Ma Rainey’s Black Bot­tom, Two Trains Running and the original production of Jitney. Broadway, off-Broadway and Los Angeles theater credits include Prelude to a Kiss, A Few Good Men, East Texas Hot Links (di­rected by Marion McClinton), I Am a Man, Three Ways Home, Private Bat­tle, The Letter and The Glass Menagerie. Film and television credits include The Player’s Club, Alien Nation, Laurel Avenue, Lily in Winter, ER (six sea­sons as Paramedic Zadro), The Adversaries and many others. He recently di­rected the short film Ballad of a Thin Man, and is in pre-production for a digital video feature, Shea’s Moods.
