Howard McGillin

Howard McGillin most recently appeared at the Goodman in Bounce during the 2002/2003 Season. He recently completed a record-breaking run on Broad­way as the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Harold Prince. His many lead­ing roles on Broadway and London’s West End include Mack Sennett in Mack and Mabel, Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman (also directed by Mr. Prince), Kodaly in She Loves Me, Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden, Billy Crocker in Anything Goes (Tony and Drama Desk award nominations), John Jasper in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Tony and Drama Desk award nominations, Theatre World Award). Mr. McGillin made his Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George. Off-Broadway, he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his performance in La Boheme with Linda Ronstadt. Mr. McGillin has appeared in numerous film and television roles, as well as in televised concerts including Mr. Sondheim’s Follies, The Kennedy Center Honors, The Boston Pops. Mr. McGillin’s voice can be heard in animated films such as South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut and The Swan Princess. His recently released solo CD, Where Time Stands Still, is available now.
