Andrew McQuery

Andrew McQuery most recently appeared at the Goodman in Galileo Galilei during the 2001/2002 Season. Most recently he performed Count Alma­viva in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro with the Bronx Opera in New York City, a role he understudied as an apprentice with the Santa Fe Opera in 2000. He has also apprenticed with Central City Opera in Colorado, where he made his pro­fessional operatic debut as Jake Wallace in Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West and performed the role of Frank in Die Fledermaus. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, he spent the 2000-2001 operatic season as a member of the Internationales Opernstudio at Opernhaus Zürich in Switzerland, and made his European debut as the Cappadocian in a new production of Richard Strauss’ Salome under the direction of Valery Gergiev. Other roles in Zürich included appearances in Don Carlo, Die Neugierigen Frauen and Il Maestro di Musica.
