Ami Silvestre

Ami Silvestre most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Visit during the 2001/2002 Season. Before that, she appeared as Aida in Over the River and Through the Woods in Kansas City. Chicago credits include Desiree in A Little Night Music at Theatre at the Center, Edith in Never Too Late at Drury Lane and Clairee in Steel Magnolias at the Apollo and Penin­sula Players. At the Forum she appeared as Penny in You Can’t Take It With You, Phyllis in Season’s Greetings, Dona d’Alvadorez in Charley’s Aunt and Agnes in The Shadow Box, among others. She won the Sarah Siddons Leading Lady Award in 1989 for her work as Phyllis in Follies at Candlelight. Other Candlelight productions include Lilianne in Nine, Cabaret and La Cage aux Folles. Television credits include Early Edition and the Paul Fog­arty Show, the first daily exercise show in the country, which she performed on WGN-TV for five and a half years.
