THE GOODMAN SCENEMAKERS

Goodman Theatre's Scenemakers are a dynamic group of diverse, young professionals
ages 21 - 45 who support the mission of the theater through fundraising, audience development and advocacy.

Through these efforts, members develop leadership skills, enhance their networks and receive access to exclusive artistic experiences and critically acclaimed theater productions.

  • Co-hosting opportunities for events with the Goodman Theatre Board of Trustees and Women's Board
  • Invitations to insider events (in addition to Associate events):
    • Noon Salons, intimate group discussions on upcoming work
    • Goodman Theatre Diversity events
    • One opening night per season, including a pre-show dinner, tickets and access to the cast party afterwards

Requirements
  • Purchase a Scene (three parties and three plays for $125) subscription annually
  • Donate a minimum of $250 annually
  • Reach a minimum give/get of $1,500 annually
  • Active participation in Scenemakers Board meetings
  • Sell Scene subscriptions, recruit membership and fundraise for the theater

Cocktails and Counsel
A special insider event with David Mamet's compelling crime drama, Race.

Mix and mingle with Chicago's most dynamic young professionals-the Scenemakers Board and Associates-with an exclusive behind-the-scenes event featuring David Mamet's 2009 Broadway hit Race.

Learn how to get involved with the Scenemakers over a wine tasting featuring California-based Charles Krug Winery and hors d'oeuvres in the rehearsal room, then hear from Race director Chuck Smith before the performance. After the show, stay for a riveting discussion with the actors!

6 - 7:15pm: Reception in Polk Rehearsal Room
7:30pm: Performance of David Mamet's Race
9:15 - 10pm: Mingle with the cast and discuss the play
