Where do I park? How much does parking cost?

The Goodman Theatre recommends using the Government Center Self Park located at the southeast corner of Clark and Lake streets. The Government Center Self Park offers Goodman Patrons a discounted rate of $16. (Rate is subject to change due to increase of parking tax.)
New Discount Procedures
- Discounted parking is available after 5 pm Monday through Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday, and after Noon for Thursday Matinee performances.
- You can receive a discounted coupon at the Goodman Theatre gift store on the day of your show. You will use this coupon to receive the discounted rate when you pay for parking.
- If you have any questions or concerns regarding parking at the Government Center Self Park, please call the garage's Facility Manager at 312.274.2161.
What happens if I'm late to a show?

To cause the least amount of disruption to the performance and to other patrons, if you arrive late you'll be seated at the discretion of the house manager. You might not be seated in your assigned seats until intermission. Until you are seated, you may watch the performance on the monitor located in the lower lobby.
Are the theaters accessible to persons with disabilities?

Do the theaters have listening devices?
Top
Yes, both the Albert and the Owen are equipped with infra-red listening assistive devices. Patrons may get a listening device at the gift store. Listening assistive devices are offered free of charge, but a driver's license is required as security.
When are post-show discussions?

Post-show discussions for subscription shows in the Albert Theatre Series are held every Wednesday and Thursday throughout the show's run.
May I bring my children to the theater?

The Goodman offers a wide range of programming, and the age-appropriateness varies. The Goodman's annual production of A Christmas Carol is appropriate for children aged 6 and up. In general, babes in arms are not permitted in the theaters.
Many of the Goodman's subscription shows are appropriate for teens. If you have questions about the age-appropriateness of any show, please call the Box Office at 312.443.3800.
What's your policy on cameras, beepers and cell phones in the theater?

Cameras are not permitted in the theatre.
The ringing of a cell phone or beeper can be quite distracting for both the audience and the performers. If you bring a cell phone or beeper into the theater, please turn it off before the performance begins. If you must use your cell phone at intermission, please remember to turn it off before re-entering the theater.
Do all shows have an intermission?

Most shows at the Goodman have at least one 15-minute intermission. On rare occasions, however, a show may be performed without intermission. When entering the Albert or the Owen theaters, you will see an announcement on the theater door regarding the running time of the show and the number of intermissions. Intermission information is also listed on the title page of your theater program.
What is the dress code at the Goodman?

At a Goodman performance, you'll see all sorts of dress - from elegant cocktail attire to business casual to jeans. The rule of thumb is, wear what makes you feel most comfortable.
